The three levels of COMPAREX' Migration Services

CMA - COMPAREX Migration Architecture

To ensure customers have a range of relevant migration options, COMPAREX migration architecture is based on the following two toolsets:

The "TRANS" toolset from Critical Path is the tool of choice for migrating from OS/390 to a CICS-like environment. This migration path - mainly from 0S/390 to Sun Solaris or Microsoft (Windows NT/2000) - is ideal for customers who want to retain their CICS and COBOL expertise, but who also want to make their applications compatible with the demands of e-business.

The "G7" tool from GSE on the other hand also migrates other platforms into a client/server environment. Application migrations are possible from BS2000, Bull DPS, Tandem, ICL, UNISYS, OS/390 or VSE to Sun Solaris or Microsoft (Windows NT/2000). G7 also offers tools for migrating from other UNIX-based operating systems such as SINIX, Reliant UNIX and HP-UX to Sun Solaris.

CMC - COMPAREX Migration Center

Both software tools and the required hardware are installed at COMPAREX's Migration Center in Edingen, near Mannheim. Migrations can be tested under laboratory conditions, and demonstrated to the customer.

CMM - COMPAREX Migration Methodology

Backed up by its application and database expertise, COMPAREX will put together a project management team to ensure successful migration using the customer's existing resources.
